This course was very well organized and helpful from those who want to learn simple extraction techniques to more complicated surgical third molars.

Course runs with :
-Day of lectures, in hotel conference room
-Rest of the week in clinic (with 1 day of travel to clinic site and time to set up/break down clinic)

The other dentists I met on this course were kindhearted, friendly, and truly helpful to each other. At times I felt like I was learning just as much from other dentists there as well as the instructors. This is done as every day you are in clinic you switch partners (great idea).

During the clinic you do need to be more aggressive to get the better cases. Otherwise you end up with only pediatric teeth to extract.
the instructors did try to even out the numbers towards the end when they realized who was getting most of the cases.

The hands on component was ideal, the most “hands on” in any extraction class I have taken. Actual patients ranging in age 5 -75. From pediatric teeth to broken molars to surgical impactions. There is no shortage of patients, the clinic always had a line out the door and you are working all day.

Dr. Murph is a strange character, if you can get past his quirky and somewhat inappropriate humor (females beware) he is a good teacher in helping at the clinic chair side. Dr. Fletch is more no nonsense but is there to help you at anytime.

Finally, the mission trip style of this course was inspiring. I left feeling so grateful to have the opportunity to help so many lives.
