Manage root fractures through proper surgical exposure and controlled retrieval
Localize and address displaced roots using PA or CBCT imaging—and know when immediate referral is the right call
Treat buccal plate fractures, including stabilization, fixation, grafting, or staged ridge reconstruction
Manage sinus exposure and oroantral communications with size-based protocols and closure techniques
Communicate complications clearly and document appropriately for patient care and risk management

Radiographic Interpretation for Extraction Planning

Radiographs are your roadmap. This course strengthens your ability to read imaging accurately and plan extractions with precision.

Evaluate root morphology, bone levels, pathology, and loss of PDL space
Identify proximity to critical anatomy such as the sinus, inferior alveolar nerve, mental foramen, and adjacent roots
Recognize radiographic signs of ankylosis, hypercementosis, and resorption
Understand when CBCT imaging is indicated and how it changes your surgical approach
Use imaging to guide graft selection, membrane sizing, and material planning
