SESSION 1 THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 2020 LECTURE – 3 CE CREDITS
ADHESIVE DENTISTRY LECTURE: THE CORNERSTONE TO PREDICTABLE DIRECT COMPOSITE DENTISTRY
Adhesive dentistry has undergone an evolution over the past 60 years. In the 1950’s and 60’s, the concept of etching enamel and dentin in order to place a tooth coloured restorative material was born. In the 1980’s and 90’s the Total Etch Technique was introduced. From the 1950’s to now, we have 8 Generations of bonding history, everything from “total etch” to “self-etch” and “no-etch”. Are you confused yet? Do you wonder why you are successful sometimes and not all the time? What is the “best” bonding agent? In this 3-hour presentation, Dr. Marangos will review some of the current concepts in adhesive dentistry, review the current materials and bonding systems available, the pros and cons behind each and suggestions to provide you with a predictable system that you can use the next day.
SESSION 2 THURSDAY, APRIL 23, 2020 HANDS-ON – 3 CE CREDITS
THE DIRECT ANTERIOR RESTORATION
The Direct Anterior Restoration is the key to proper aesthetic dentistry. It can be done in 1 appointment and be very predictable, if you have a system and protocol. In this hands-on session, you will learn to do a Class IV build-up using a lingual matrix technique, an introduction to the Injection Mold Technique with modern matrices, when to layer and when one universal shade may be enough.
SESSION 3 THURSDAY, MAY 14, 2020 HANDS-ON – 3 CE CREDITS
THE DIRECT POSTERIOR RESTORATION
The Direct Posterior Composite is one of the most performed dental restorative procedures today. It is also considered one of the most technique sensitive procedures due to: post-op sensitivity, poor contacts, breakage, microleakage, etc. This hands-on session will have you working with various matrix systems currently available on the market, layered posterior composites as well as the bulk-filled composite system.
